Leatherback's Sport One Jr. Bulletproof Backpack converts quickly into a bulletproof vest in seconds. All it takes is to pull the red zipper and the backpack separates into two parts. This gives you both front and back protection in the event of an emergency or active shooting event. The two bulletproof panels are hidden inside of the backpack, so you can easily move around without anyone noticing. Each panel is NIJ rated level IIA protection, which is the same level of protection that law enforcement agencies trust in the USA.
Leatherback's Sport One Jr. Bulletproof Backpack is designed to protect you or your child against handgun rounds up to a .44 magnum, 9mm submachine gun, or 12 gauge slugs. Additional features include two detachable tourniquets that allow you to control the bleeding after an injury to a limb. You can also use the backpack straps as drag straps, and door stop straps. It also has a 180-pound drag handle. This is designed to support up to 180 pounds, so you can be dragged to safety in the event of an emergency.
Leatherback also has designed the Sport One Jr. to be water-resistant. It is made with 1000D Cordova Nylon material. With this water-resistant protection, this means that your valuable items will stay protected even in the rain.
